Three weeks - three new emulator updates for AmigaOS 4

In the past three weeks I worked extensively on updating the emulators for AmigaOS 4 that I started porting some years ago.

First was Hatari - the Atari ST/TT/STE/Falcon emulator. I first ported it back in 2005 and it evolved quite well since then. Currently it works very good on microAmigaOne:

Then I updated Atari++ - the excellent Atari 8 bits emulator for the Atari machines 130XL, 400, 400XL, 800, 800XL and 5200. This emulator is a later project, but it's very accurate and has lots of configuration options:

Finally I updated XRoar - the Dragon 32/64 and Tandy Coco/Coco 2 emulator, which also got better during the years and now it's very compatible and offers resizeable display thanks by the use of OpenGL textures:

Meanwhile I also worked on some 8 bit assembler projects and I am slowly returning to coding on the Amiga and the other cool platforms of the past.

CP/M on Apple II

CP/M Operating System on Apple II
Yesterday I started wielding with the CP/M Operating System on the Apple II. CP/M runs on Apple II machines with the use of Z80 SoftCard by Microsoft. 6502 and Z80 processor in single machine, makes a powerful retro computer. The Apple II specific software is still better though, even if slower.

Retro computing meeting

Last week I attended a meeting of people interested in retro machines and computers. I had the chance to see one of the last machines produced in the Pravetz factory and saw in live the Pravetz 8S machine which was produced in early 1990-ies and had almost all the chips inside cloned from the Apple II.
Other rare item was the Oric 3 inch disk drive and vintage Elka calculators.
More than 5 hours chat with people taught me many aspects of the hardware and software hacking on the machines of the early 1980-ies.

Sony VAIO - the cool laptop

For more than six months now I've replaced my Dell Inspiron N5010 with a Sony VAIO, I received better machine but crippled in some aspects. I can no longer record audio from my synth and the web camera is awful. Check out my full review on my website.
