The vehicle has Liquid-cooled dohc 8-valve parralel-twin four-stroke with 180-degree crankshaft, chain camshaft drive and single gear-driven counter balancer, 649.3 ccm, 41.5 kW at 9,500 rpm (LAMS restricted) engine. Max torque: 62 nm/6.32kgm/45.72 ftlb at 7,000 rpm. Bore x Stroke: 83 mm x 60 mm. Compression ratio 11.3:1. EFI with 2 x 38 mm ITT throttle bodies and single injector per cylinder fuel system. Gearbox is 6-speed with gear primary drive. Multiplate wet clutch. Tubular steel diamond frame employing engine as fully-stressed member chassis. Front Suspension is USD fork (max travel 140 mm). Rear Suspension is extruded steel swingarm with tubular steel bracing, cantilever monoshock (max. travel 145 mm). Front brake is 2x300 mm steel discs with twin-piston calipers with Continental ABS system. Rear brake is 1x240 mm single disc with single-piston caliper with Continental ABS system. Front wheel and tire: 120/70ZR17, 3.5 x 17 MT alloy. Rear wheel and tire: 160/60ZR17, 4.5 x 17 MT alloy. Length 2150 mm. Width 835 mm. Height 1332 mm. Wheelbase 1415 mm.
